Other Info: Green TACKETT appears to be the same person who is listed in the 1860 Federal Census, Clark Co. IN as "Greenbury TACKETT." Green farmed in Washington and Clark counties, and later worked as a blacksmith. He is listed in the 1850 Washington Co. Indiana census as being "deaf and dumb." Tackett Family oral tradition relates that, unable to hear the warning, Green was struck by a train and killed; no written verification of this story has been found.
